I've come across recently some lovely movie : book : audio resources for the spirit that I wanted to share... Enjoy!
"Click"Let me tell you, I gave Chris a rather unenthusiastic look when he presented me with this movie at the video store. Even as the opening music played, I groaned. I'm not a big fan of Adam Sandler. Adam Sandler movies that I find distinctly unfunny: 7. Adam Sandler movies I adore: 1. (the Wedding Singer)I even decided the movie wasn't even worth my undivided attention so edited photos instead. But then something happened.I started listening. And getting drawn into the story. And realising that this was one of those gem of a movies that presents as popular light-watching entertainment, but is actually a profound lesson of how to live your life (think Disney's "The Kid").I really don't want to say anymore than that, just that I heartily recommend it. There are some very Secret-esque concepts played out in the movie. It inspired me to go on an adventure this afternoon and to know that each moment only comes once.
I'm currently engrossed in "Brave Hearts and Rebel Spirits," written by Brooke Shelby Biggs and Anita Roddick. It profiles a number of spiritual activists who have worked to create positive change in this world and highlight what needs to change. Buddhists, Catholic priests and nuns, Native Americans, Quakers, Muslims - all LIVING their beliefs and instigating social consciousness. And also riveting is how they have been oppressed by their governments - you will giggle when you read about two elderly priests being regarded as terrorists by the FBI. Other stories won't make you giggle at all, but fill you with a deep desire and passion for truth, compassion and clarity. This book is precious, and I regard it as an important self-education tool. A manual for how we can all live our beliefs more vivaciously in this world.

- Books can be our best friends, our inspirations, our wisdom jewels and our delights. They nourish us deeply. It's time to nourish Mama Earth for providing us with all the paper in those books! Have a tree planted for every book you buy at Eco-Libris.
- Make your adventures to discover the world a healthy thing for the world too! You can make your flights carbon neutral here. (With thanks to my lovely name~sister Leonie Wise for these two links!)
- Instead of birthday and Christmas cards or presents you feel you *should* buy for friends and family~ why not gift them with a good feeling? You can gift them with the pleasure that a third world community has just been changed by being given a business loan, animals, tools, water or education. You can gift Hope through Oxfam Unwrapped Australia, UK and American websites. Plus, it feels kinda fun to tell someone you bought them a goat for their birthday.
- Become a lender to an entrepreneur in a developing country to help them fulfill their dreams. You can become a lender to change lives through Kiva.
- Planning a wedding, and don't know what to have as those bags of sugared almondy thingies? I say give them a little bag of seeds, and a card that says a tree has been planted and named in their honour. What a beautiful emblem of your growing love that could be!
- The energy saving version of Google: Blackle
- Become a part of a heart shaped forest at Tree Nation (With thanks to sweet Silvia for this!)

A healing friend of mine always tells me, and anyone who will listen: GO SPEND TIME IN NATURE. And I never really got it ~ I knew that nature was beautiful, but I didn't get from an energy level why I needed to, and why everyone on this planet needs to do it. Sitting by the lake a few weeks ago on an artists date, eating ice creams with my friend Bek, I realised that when I'm out in nature, the bullshit flies away. As simple and as beautiful as that. When I close my eyes, and the wind brushes over my face, and my toes are sinking into the dust, things just don't seem to matter anymore. All that is is the breeze, and the earth, and the stillness inside me. The woman who doesn't know, who feels tangled in energy and caught in concerns - she is gone, back there somewhere at the house. The Woman Who Knows remains there. She Knows she is a part of the earth, she knows to breathe is enough, and she knows the concerns are only a dream, a fragrant of the mind. Inside there is a sweeping desert, a swelling ocean, the undulating forest strewn mountains, the rises and falls of landscape sinking in and up with breath. So out there I find myself. On the little patch of bare earth in my backyard, the grass already yellowed by summer.By the lake, with a friend. In nature, truth slips in, and I am reminded that there is enough love for us all. That nature holds all the healing we need. That the Woman Who Knows is just out there, sitting in the dust, smiling at the wind. And all I need to do is get out.lush link discoveries

What's your perfect?
this is one of the wisest women i've ever had the pleasure of knowing.her name is ellanita, she is 60,and she is this amazing blend of sage, visionary and child.she still watches kid moviesand when she laughs, she laughs freely and wildlylike a whole flock of ducks launching off into the sky.she giggles and snufflesand the peels of laughter flow from her like a river finding the ocean in the air.sometimes i get really serious.like, lately.last sunday at the spiritualist centre the message i was given was:you've been too serious lately. you've forgotten your spontaneous side, your childlike side. you haven't been laughing as much.and it's true.my little eyebrows knit together, i become fixated on my to-do listand i forget that the wisest people on earth laugh the most.
i'm off to roadtrip to be with two women this weekend, my two goddesses in honour. i'm off to go wear a new turquoise and lilac dress in the sun, be hugged warmly and deeply, discover city streets and just be free for a while. i'm off to shed this knitted brow and go collect that laughing silly loving sage girl of mine.
laugh your serious ass OFF with this and this.
I want to write for the sake of writing.I want to write for the sheer abandon of it, the falling into the moment, the sinking into myself of it. I want to fall apart and rupture clean and pin it, piece by piece, together with words. I want to remember why I write. I remember why I write:Because, simply, the world makes sense to me when I write. There are some things that I know.I know that it feels good to meditate, and sometimes when I sit in gentle breath upon my bed, I am called outside with an urgency. I pull on a jumper and sweatpants, then barefoot onto the grass to be closer to the heartbeat of mother earth. It feels like she wraps around me, and I ground in her energy. No matter what.It is all okay, it is all okay, it is all okay. This is what she teaches me. These are the days that sparkle with a new and precious Succulent Wild Woman watch from a dear friend. I enter rooms hand first, as proud as a five year old with a ballerina box that spins and sings once the lid is opened. These are the days that I'm not sure where I'm going, or exactly what is happening, just that I know that it is good and ripe even in the chaos. Even in the pain, there is still peace. Even in the tears, there are lessons. There is no compass available but my soul, and my soul tells me I am doing good. I may not know much about today, and I may not know much about tomorrow, but I do know change is birthing forth into our lives. I do know I will be okay no matter what. I do know I can do this I can be this I can create this dream life. Inside me is where the world is created.
